I have really low expectations for this since the previous winning script "Takane no Jitensha" was one of the worst anime I recently watched.

I haven't watched "Takane no Jitensha" so i have no opinion about it. I heard that Japanese media is having tough time finding good screenwriters. I don't think this screenwriting competition is helping things at all.
