I had a weird issue entering a precision. For this bit of info here, you can see that I had to enter "(OP; eps 1,2,3 END)" for the precision. When I put it in as "(OP; eps 1-3 END)" it gave me an error saying that there was an invalid episode number in the precision field. And now if you look at the Tenamonya Voyagers page, that credit appears like this: "(OP; eps 1-2, 3 END)"

I'm not sure if we have a standard way of doing this, but usually I've not seen contributors separate OP and ED with semicolons (in the case of animators, the information after the semicolon tends to be for the episodes proper and not the OP or ED).

Either way, it works better if you list the episode numbers after "ED" or "END", rather than before it. You could do it like this for instance: "(OP, ED eps 1-3)" or "(OP; ED eps 1-3)".

Well, this is what it says when you are verifying information for entry:
Encyclopedia Instructions wrote:
* The precision should be used to add clarification when necessary, for example a precision for a staff member could be "OP" if s/he only worked on the opening animation.
* If you specify the exact episode number(s) on which s/he worked, follow this format:
* start the precision with "ep" or "eps" (e.g. ep 1 / eps 1-5)
* write sequences with a dash (e.g. eps 1-3 rather than eps 1,2,3)
* separate single episodes and sequences with commas (e.g. eps 1,5,8-16,19)
* add a semi-colon before additional comments (e.g. ep 1; OP)

So, he worked on the OP animation (technically it would be OP 1-3, but as there was no OP for episode 4, I left it off as he essentially worked on all OPs so there's no need to specify), then he worked on the END animation of episodes 1-3 only (episode 4 had a different animation) so I'm using a semi colon to separate tasks as per the last bullet point.

But you're right, it accepts it if I put the episode numbers at the end, and I've made the change.

Normally we number the EDs themselves rather than the episodes (although the animation doesn't normally change every episode) so it would be (OP; ED 1-3) - same as with OP/ED songs:

Quote:
While a person who does a theme song is credited through this information, it would be good to also add that person in the staff list. For example, Megumi Hayashibara often sings the theme songs for the anime in which she stars. So for Saber Marionette J Again, in addition to
#2: "Hesitation" by Megumi Hayashibara (eps 2-6)
she is also credited in the staff like this:
Theme Song Performance: Megumi Hayashibara (OP #2)

(with the proviso that I wouldn't personally use the hash, and for a one-off OP/ED theme I probably would credit it to the specific episode)
