I know, right? Why does he look so effeminate? It seems like the design was based on the manga's design but it seems like they exaggerated some characteristics, like this outfit for example.

The full character design immediately bothered me because his proportions are all wrong. The main problem is that he has adult-proportioned thighs (or at least thighs that look like they would fit on your average high school or older female anime character), and it really throws me off. The art from Meru is a lot less offputting.

I like this manga, but a lot of the appeal lies in the gorgeous art rather than the characters or plot or such (though insanely obsessed MC is pretty fun sometimes). Manga will end up being the definitive version unless the anime has unusually high budget.

Him being a child is perfectly fine, but as others pointed out, the proportions are very unsettling. I don't know if he's meant to look like a "cute shota" but it looks very off to me.

LOL. Untill I read the synopsis, I was sure MC is a girl. Even MC from Knight & Magic looked less feminine.

This is certainly the most aggressively shota anime MC I've seen in a while.
There's lots of booby girls, yet the MC looks like that so I'm sort of wondering who this is aimed for. Equal opportunity audience, I guess? Or that weird little section of people who love shota getting pampered by big boob girls who ALSO like isekai fantasy?

I remember watching a few chapters out of morbid curiosity, and well the protagonist is very sexualized in the manga. At a certain point you will feel uncomfortable.

This one is not isekai though. It's just reincarnation in his own world, like in the case of The Misfit of Demon King Academy.

thanks for painting it out, i though it was that one too.
i will watch this out of morbid curiosity, i am familiar with that type of shota design and never expected to see it in a relatively mainstream anime . can't really talk about it as the words are considered slurs on this place, tho.

If he was at least 15 in his reincarnated form and not as shouta-passing, I would have checked the upcoming anime out.
