Thanks for the write-up. I’d heard of the kishōtenketsu structure before, but had lost track of the details. DIscussions of the form have come up in the context of some anime movies, too (though I can’t think of any examples at the moment).

This production will almost certainly turn in to a Blu-ray. Past kabuki productions of anime stories (e.g., Nausicäa) have been released that way.

The time period worked out pretty well for Goemon. He wouldn't even need to change his clothes. Laughing
