Don't want it. I understand that there are people who do, but I will fight this to the end. No physical product, no sale.

Not to worry, we aren't giving up on our physical plans in the least. We have an incredibly robust schedule for 2014 - which will be our biggest year yet, so don't fret, print-fans, we haven't forgotten about you.

We also know the importance and increasing attention on digital platforms, and really love comiXology's platform and selection. I believe this will be a great fit for both Seven Seas and digital fans.

I understand where he is coming from due to physical products and the ability to resell them. Still I'm very happy you are going down this route to release your content digitally for fans such as myself that do have the space to store all of these volumes.

If you don't mind me asking do you plan adding mayo chiki and railgun later on as well??

Precisely; we want to extend our titles to digital fans too, since not everyone has the means or space to store physical manga.

I'm almost positive that Mayo Chiki! will be added, but not sure about Railgun (at least right now). Adam has been handling this stuff, so he'll know about it -- so I'll ask him about this once he has some down time from the chaos of SDCC.

We no longer have the license for it, as the series switched over to Shueisha.

After nearly a 6 year dip in the market, does this mean the manga industry is finally starting to recover? After JManga went down, I kind of had my doubts about the state of digital manga for English readers.

We've actually been doing pretty good; in fact, 2012 was our best year yet, and this year has been looking great. In 2014, we'll be releasing more titles than ever before.

For Seven Seas, we weren't hit as hard as most other publishers in the market at the time when Borders' closure came and went. Obviously it hurts to lose a distribution channel (especially one that was as large as Borders), but all things considering, we're doing alright.

It's always good to hear that there are publishers that are heading in a positive direction in this economic climate.

****

I would consider if Sacred Blacksmith didn't have a physical release last month otherwise as of now there isn't anything else that has sparked my interest.
