I would've place Volks Dollfie Dream Saber (Original) on the list instead of Victorque. Retail price was $1,045 and she's not even resin, which normal cost a lot more. Today, she's well over $3K secondhand.

When I came across this article on the front page I immediately thought of how ten years ago the original Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG structure decks (Yugi 1, Kaiba 1, Jounichi 1, Pegasus) were going for $500 together...

Each one now runs upwards of $300 (so just a bit more than those Miku cards Wink ).

Azone figures are up there in price too. I own an Akari Mizunashi figure from them that's 1/3 scale, it's articulated but it doesn't have the porcelain face like the Volks dolls do. I bought it when I was in Japan for 80,000 yen, which at the time worked out to a little less than $800. Now if you can find her for sale, she'll go for over $2000.

FYI, the life-size Gundam is no longer in Shiokaze Kouen and is currently at Diver City where there is no admission fee to see it.

There have been some other high-end Eva figures in addition to the obligatory 1/1 Rei and Asuka figures. For instance, back in December 2009, Medicom Toy released a 1/80 scale figure of Unit-01. Of course, 1/80 translates to 40 inches in height, and one of these figures could be yours for the low low price of 155,400 yen. Considering the exchange rate back then, if you lived in the US, that would be about $1700, and incredibly some US stores actually stocked that figure.

My Figure Collection also lists an 81 inch version of Unit-01 that went for 1.2 million yen, and there's one user there who claims to own one.

There isn't a list in the world big enough to address THIS particular topic. On a related subject, I found out I spent over $1500 on Madoka and Steins;Gate related items. JUST those two franchises...I didn't even try hard. Also, I didn't know either show existed 18 months ago.

I'm going to end up in a similar situation with the Sailor Moon figures. The manufacturer recently confirmed they'll be making the Outer Guardians, and a prototype for Sailor Moon S Sailor Moon was recently shown too. I know I'll be getting all of those!

Just a correction, checking out the Gundam is totally free now since it's moved to its permanent home outside of Diver City.

And it still does the light-show thing once an hour.

If you want to get married under it you got pay though Smile

The true cost of seeing the Gundam in Diver City is that you gotta work your way through or around that boring ol' mall to find it!

There could be a decent anime in just about any part of the Bhaal saga that is Baldur's Gate and the Sword Coast.
But kind of like the Old Republic, not sure how the licensing would work, which would leave Jade Empire as the most realistic (cheapest) property to develop.

I would not be too thrilled with a Jade Empire project.
