Yes, and all Anime these days is about gay people touching each other and angel/homosexual metaphors. Thanks for the stereotypes because like yeah only your tastes count.

Actually, Fist of the North Star IS just exploding heads and splitting body parts. C'mon Japan, the original OAV was good for a few laughs (especially with that dub), but I can't believe they're still trying to milk this turd pile.

First, as a Fan, I am excited.

Secondly, I would like to take this time to thank the kind people who have posted in this topic, obviously having no knowledge whatever of Fist of The North Star, yet continiously complaining, as if they have watched it all.

If you're not a fan of this series, thats fine, but have the dignity not to go into the forum and whine about it. There are fans of this series. Though they may be far and few between in America, the fact that MORE of it is being made proves this fact. The fact that this series has been large and popular in Japan for well over 20 years signifies it as a great series.

Fist of The North Star isn't just fighting. It's plot is deeper than that. It also has an undelrying love story. However, this one isn't meant to be, and it has a sad ending. One of the reasons I personally enjoyed it was because of this fact.

I am sick of all the cliche happy endings in love stories (Anime and otherwise). This makes people believe everything is meant to work out. Sorry, it doesn't always work out that way. Even if you fall in love, it isn't written in stone that you're meant to be.

Thats what Fist of The North Star is about, a man going to high lengths to be back with the person he loves. He kills anyone who gets in his way. From random people he doesn't even know, to his best friend, and his brothers. Even after all of that, the ending still wasn't a happy one.

The fact that even after the ending, there is still more, shows that the series moves on to how a person copes with their sorrow and sadness.

But, still. Its nice to see such condescending people talk about a series they have little to no knowledge of.

Very good, folks, very good. Very Happy

Here's a tip. Watch a series before judging it. If you havn't seen something, don't try to form an opinion of it, because most of the time, it will be wrong.

Thought I do admit, the fist Fist of The North Star series takes a bit of time to get the plot started. Mostly because Kenshiro (Voiced masterfully by Kamiya Akira) barely talks in the first episodes.

Still, after hundreds of episodes, OVA's, and a movies (Including the scheduled ones), a huge franchise can't be wrong.

It's much better than DBZ, anyways. Very Happy

And yes, I have seen all of DBZ (Including DB and DBGT and the movies), so I feel my opinion on it being better is a valid one.

Not only is this awesome series about lost love but family as well, the rivalry between kenshiro and Raoh from when they were young to when they are much older. This show has the best story and best character development of any anime i have ever seen and I have seen hundreds. it's good to finally find someone else who has seen the whole series and can then judge it fairly. Newer anime especially is in a tough bind like what the previous post had mentioned homosexual angels, bands, love story. The animation is also starting to become generic nothing stands out as it did before except for Fullmetal Alch. Also one last note I can't stand shows that are only 26 episodes any longer, I feel ripped off.

Take out the Sailor Fukus and you have something I'd watch. Wink

But seriously now, this is a departure from the trend of moe, which is good, I guess, but aren't we about all fighting show'd out?

Anyway, if you're a real FotNS fan, you'll watch more Yakitate!! Japan. There's this one scene that's practically taken straight from it.

Sorry, I know assuming is bad, but the sheer ridiculous, humorous violence, ugly art work (personal opinion) and old bad animation of what I saw a long time ago turned me off forever. I'm just not sure I can take the chyachyahchyachyachyachya move seriously. I also did see this when I was younger. But anyone is free to like whatever series they want, so.. ^^ have at thee.

EDIT: Oh yes, and FoNS has been very good in the way of providing parody material for the anime world. Project A-ko just wouldn't be the same without it. Anime hyper

Speaking of Anime News Service and corrections. I just can´t find the line on the official jp article that says that Hojo Tsukasa would do the character designs for the OVA/movies...it says that he´s in charge of doing character design for the new character Reina rather than the designs for the whole OVA/movie. I know minnor nitpick, but that´s the same with North Star Pictures VS. North Stars Pictures (the one is nitpicking about a missing letter, the one on translation quality) Wink

so far
