Saga of Tanya the Evil Sequel Film Reveals 3rd Key Visual, February 8 Premiere

The official website for the anime adaptation of Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) novel series posted a new key visual for the upcoming anime film on Tuesday. The website also announced that the film will open in Japan on February 8, 2019.
Those who prepurchase tickets at theaters beginning on October 19 will receive a letter with "marching orders" from Tanya to go to the movie theater.
Kadokawa's Newtype magazine reported in January that the film will be a brand-new work (as opposed to a compilation or recap film). Director Yutaka Uemura told the magazine that the new film will follow from the events of the television anime. He noted that the movie will depict the change in relationship between Tanya and the top brass, as well as the development of her troops.
Aside from Uemura, the magazine listed animation Studio NuT, and voice actresses Aoi Yūki (Tanya Degurechaff) and Saori Hayami ("Visha") as returning from the earlier television anime.
