XSEED Games announced on Twitter on Friday that its release of the Senran Kagura Burst: Re:Newal game will be "slightly delayed." The company added that the delay is so the company can remove the interactive "Intimacy Mode" from the game's PlayStation 4 version. The Steam version will still include the mode, and the Steam and PS4 versions will launch simultaneously.
XSEED Games stated it will reveal the exact release date "shortly." The company also added, "We respect the wishes of the platform holder."
XSEED Games originally planned to release the game this fall in North America and Europe.
Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal is Honey∞Parade Games' PS4 remake of the 2012 Senran Kagura Burst action game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game shipped in Japan on February 22.
The game remakes the original side-scrolling game as a full 3D game with updated graphics and gameplay features. Yumi and Miyabi will be free DLC characters, each with their own DLC side stories. The story from the original game appears in the remake with additional story elements.
