(March 24, 2026 – New York, NY) The Town Hall (Melay Araya, Artistic Director) is thrilled to host legendary composer Yōko Kanno for Piano Me, an intimate, immersive piano-led experience that blends music and visual expression into a deeply personal journey. Produced by Mammoth, Piano Me will take place on Saturday April 11, 2026 at 8pm at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, New York, NY). Tickets are available now at www.thetownhall.org/events.

Yōko Kanno returns to the Town Hall following last year's sold-out debut where she performed Yōko Kanno Live!. Piano Me will be her first full-length solo show in the US.

Piano Me.

No destination.

Just me, just you.

On stage, there is a single piano.

At the keys sits the composer herself.

If this makes you imagine

a quiet recital,

or a concert where the music is carefully explained piece by piece—

let go of that image now.

She is a showman.

Piano Me is not a lecture.

It is not a memoir.

This is a journey into the Inner Universe—

As you touch the frequency of the piano,

you may find yourself smiling for no reason at all.

In the next moment,

you are carried into a dreamlike world.

You may gently brush against memories

you thought you had forgotten.

And before you realize it,

you are singing—

together with the piano.

When the performance ends

and you return to the city,

the world should look slightly different.

On this voyage,

original members of SEATBELTS join as special guests,

along with multiple guest vocalists,

each bringing their own gravity and color.

Visual expression is created by

Daito Manabe (Rhizomatiks).

The town hall stage transforms

into a space in orbit.

Small.

Intimate.

And—endlessly vast.

That is Piano Me.

You don't need to fasten your seatbelt.

Instead—

let go.
