In Operation 10, Masaki Hoshino states during the dinner scene that he works for the magazine "Weekly [Shūkan] Spe", a parody of the real-life magazine Shūkan Spa!
The word "Operation" is used as the series' episode marker—"Operation 1", "Operation 2", "Operation 3", etc.
