In the early promo shown during the Winter 1995 (January) Fox Kids affiliate meeting, Kamen Rider J appeared in the title card before being switched to Kamen Rider Black RX in the airing.
The show uses Kotaro Minami as a stunt double, with Dex dressing up in the same white outfit to blend in with the stock footage in some of the civilian fights. This is most likely due to budget reasons, since Saban was unable to obtain most of the monster costumes from Black RX. This also explains why "Dex" is never seen in the same shot as the monster whenever he wears a different outfit other than Kotaro Minami's. At times, Kotaro's face could clearly be seen during these fights.
Originally a crossover Power Ranger episode was planned similar to how Masked Rider previously guest starred in three episodes of Mighty Morphing Power Rangers which served as a back door spinoff to this show. The planned crossover episode for this show never got made.
Prince Dex’s home planet Edenoi, is the same planet where Alpha 5 of the Alpha automaton series from the Power Rangers franchise originated from.
