Trivia:

The name of Jigoku Shoujo, 'Enma', also means 'Ruler or Maintainer of Hell'

The Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl's) name 'Enma Ai' can be translated several ways (depending on spelling). Enma means 'Devil' or 'Ruler of hell' and Ai can mean 'associate/accomplice/fellow/agent', 'eye', or 'love' depending on the kana used. So among various takes on her name is 'love of the devil', though I think it's intended to be 'agent of hell'.

In episode 17 of season 1 of the Hell Girl anime, a melody played from a music box in the scene. That melody is identified as the well known classical piece, Air on the G String from Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, 2nd movement by Johann Sebastian Bach. Normally, Air on the G String is played on the violin as its title implies; however, for its use as a music box tune, it sounds like it is being played as a piano piece.
