Mankind is dead, destroyed by the evil computer GORN. The only survivors are six young women, shot deep into space by the android Catty. The creation of an alien race, only she understands the terrible cycles of war and destruction that devastate our race. And only she foresaw the coming disaster. Now, as the Earth smolders, a single escape pod races away, bound for an unknown destination.

But GORN is close behind, with a powerful pursuit ship and a squadron of fighters. Through brain surgery and cybernetic implants, GORN now inhabits the body of Nova, its human tool. But GORN is not limited to a single body or single location. Like a computer virus, GORN can transmit itself into any computer.

Meanwhile, six young women wait desperately around their radio, hoping to learn that somewhere, other people have survived the disaster. No one realizes that their radio may lead to their doom. Soon, no place in the solar system, not even their own ship, will be safe. And then the annihilation of humanity will be complete!
