Good Smile Company's Top-Selling Figures: 2011

The 2011 sales rankings for figures produced by the Good Smile Company (GSC) hobby goods maker were revealed on Wednesday. The rankings split the top-selling figures into three lists for sales in all countries, within Japan, and outside Japan.

GSC sold "Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Cheerful Ver.," the global highest-selling figure, to support victims of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake disaster (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai). The company donated 1,000 yen (about US$12) from each of the figure's 74,000 sales — a total of 74,465,000 yen (US$925,500) — to the Japanese Red Cross.
