Port of Key's original PC visual novel to ship on May 9

The video game news website Gamer began streaming the opening video for Key's Kud Wafter -Converted Edition- PlayStation Portable game last week. The port was originally scheduled for release on April 25, but was delayed to May 9.

The story revolves around high school students Riki Naoe and Kudryavka Noumi ("Kud" for short) as their friendship evolves into a romantic relationship after becoming roommates. In the opening video, the characters of the game and the voice cast are introduced, with Naomi Wakabayashi (The [email protected]) as lead female Kud, Nanae Nakano as Shiina Arizuki, a straight-forward girl who chases dreams, and Kumiko Okugawa as Yuuki Himuro, a restless girl genius.

The main production staff remains the same as the original game, with Na-Ga in charge of original designs and Chika Shirokiri as scenario writer. Wakabayashi performs the opening song "one's future."

Kud Wafter was Key's eighth adult visual novel and Key originally released the game in Japan in 2010 for Windows PC. The PSP port of Kud Wafter will not include adult content, and will feature new events and artwork suitable for all ages. Kud Wafter is a spin-off to the 2008 novel Little Busters!, which received an anime adaptation last October and was licensed by Sentai Filmworks in January.
