Battle Royale Film Nominated for Saturn Awards

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films nominated Anchor Bay's The Complete Collection DVD and Blu-ray release of Kinji Fukasaku's live-action Battle Royale film in the Best BD/DVD category of the 38th Saturn Awards. The release is competing against Alfred Hitchcock (The Masterpiece Collection), Bond 50 (The Complete 22 Film Collection), Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series, The Ultimate Buster Keaton Blu-ray Collection, and Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection.

The film played at Houston's Alamo Drafthouse on Saturday and limited-edition posters drawn by Scott Pilgrim's Bryan Lee O'Malley and Kevin Tong were available at the theater. The regular edition of the poster will go on sale for US$50.
