Square Enix filed trademarks for "Occult Maiden," "The Lodestone," and "Melpharia March" in Japan.
Haganai novelist Yomi Hirasaka is penning a manga with artist Chado titled Sekigan no Shōnen Occult Maiden ~Kage Shō~ (One-Eyed Boy Occult Maiden ~Shadow Chapter~). The series will debut in the 14th issue of Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine on July 5.
The Lodestone is the name of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV community site and data aggregator.
The iOS game Melpharia March will serve as a spin-off of Square Enix's Fantasy Earth: The Ring of Dominion massive multiplayer online game. It will be released this summer.
Melpharia is a country from Fantasy Earth: The Ring of Dominion. A few months after launching the game 2006, Square Enix cancelled it due to lack of demand. The publishing rights were bought by Gamepot who re-released it as Fantasy Earth Zero as a free-to-play game. The game launched in North America in 2010 and it closed the following year.
Square Enix has also filed trademarks for Star Ocean, Rise of Mana, and Slimeshot this month.
