posted on by Egan Loo
The Niconico Douga service began streaming the first promotional video for the anime of the mobile app game Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie (Bonjour Love Flavor Pâtisserie) on Friday. The original story follows Sayuri Haruno, a girl who attends an elite confectionery school Fleurir on a scholarship to follow her dream to open a pastry shop. There she meets several charming young men.
The video introduces the cast:
Yui Ishikawa as Sayuri Haruno
Kaito Ishikawa (Terror in Resonance's Nine) as Ryō Kōduki, Sayuri's classmate. He has a brusque attitude but he has an unusually strong dream to open a pastry shop. He considers Mitsuki his rival.
Tetsuya Kakihara (Yowapeda's Jinpachi Tōdō) as Mitsuki Aoi, a teacher at Fleurir. He has excellent confectionery skills and is popular at school for his kind smile and prince-like mannerisms.
Ryōhei Kimura (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun's Hirotaka Wakamatsu) as Gilbert Hanafusa, a teacher from France with an interest in Japan. He has a gentle smile and gets along with anyone.
Hikaru Midorikawa (Slayers' Zelgadis) as Yoshinosuke Suzumi, a teacher specializing in Japanese confectionery. He appears emotionless but he hides a great love for the subject of his teaching.
Kakihara also played a character named Mitsuki Aoi in the drama CD of epicaria's game Itoshi no Chocolatier. Two other characters from Itoshi no Chocolatier will also appear in Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie: Ibuki Aoi (Katsuyuki Konishi) and Jin Aoi (Wataru Hatano).
Utako Yukihiro (Uta no Prince Sama, Devils and Realist manga) is designing the characters and Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman., Persona 3 the Movie) is directing.
The series will premiere on October 11 on NTV On Demand, Niconico, and Hulu. The game is itself still in development.
