California's Fanime Hosts Animator Yoshihiro Watanabe

California's FanimeCon revealed on April 28 that it will host animator Yoshihiro Watanabe.

Watanabe is a key animator and character designer, and has done character design work on such anime as Soul Link, Brighter than the Dawning Blue, Heaven's Lost Property, Haganai, and The Testament of Sister New Devil. He has also drawn mechanical designs for such series as Please Teacher!, DearS, Minami-ke, and Silent Möbius. He draws illustrations for adult games under the name Moo°C Dan (pronounced “mood-dan”). His appearance at FanimeCon will mark his first event outside of Japan.

FanimeCon will also host voice actor Daisuke Sakaguchi, writer Gilles Poitras, voice actor Masaya Matsukaze, vocal dance group Da-iCE, voice actress and interpreter Lisle Wilkerson, and voice actress Cristina Vee.

FanimeCon will take place on May 27-30 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
