Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland Game Launches for Switch, PS4, PC in West in Spring 2019

Koei Tecmo America also announces Atelier Arland series Deluxe Pack for December 4

Koei Tecmo America announced on Thursday that the Western release of the Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland (Lulua no Atelier ~Arland no Renkinjutsushi 4~) game is slated for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam in spring 2019.

Additionally, the company will release Atelier Arland series Deluxe Pack digitally for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam on December 4. The set will include the three previous Arland games: Atelier Rorona: The Alchemists of Arland DX, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland DX, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland DX. The pack will include much of the previously released DLC content. The games will be available for purchase individually as well as in the set.

Koei Tecmo America describes Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland, which is set several years after Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland:

This heart-warming new entry follows the young Elmerulia Fryxell; an energetic and positive young girl who studies alchemy diligently to live up to the legacy of her mother – the famous Rorona Fryxell. Supported by her close childhood friend, the hardworking and caring Eva Armster, she works hard to fulfill her dream and become a renowned alchemist. Fans of the Arland series will be able to re-meet old characters, and re-explore the land of Arland, to see how the flow of time has changed everything they once knew.

The game will feature new synthesis, battle, and exploration systems. The game will have Arland-style gameplay combined with the latest Mysterious series.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland is slated for release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2019. Mel Kishida is providing character designs for the game.

The Atelier Arland series is a is a trilogy of games that are part of Gust's larger Atelier series of games. Gust released Atelier ~ Alchemist of Arland 1•2•3 DX in Japan on September 20. The three games include all DLC from their previous versions. Additionally, the new release includes new features such as additional party characters, costumes, extended game scenarios, bosses, and events that were not in the original releases.

Atelier Rorona, the first game in the Arland trilogy, debuted for PlayStation 3 in 2009. Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland, a remake for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, shipped in Japan in 2013 and spawned its own remake for Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

The second game, Atelier Totori, shipped in Japan for PlayStation 3 in 2010, and the enhanced port Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland debuted for PlayStation Vita in 2012.

The third game, Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, debuted for PlayStation 3 in 2011, and the enhanced port Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland debuted for PlayStation Vita in 2013.

NIS America released all three original games in English, but Tecmo KOEI released the "Plus" versions.

The Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World game will launch in Japan physically and digitally on PS4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch on December 13. The game will then ship in the West in early 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game will have both physical and digital releases for PS4 and Switch.
