"POKÉMON: ADVANCED" AND "YU-GI-OH!: ENTER THE SHADOW REALM" DOMINATE COMPETITION IN KEY DEMOS


BURBANK, CA (December 11, 2003) - On Saturday, December 6, Kids' WB! led the morning to rank as the #1 network in the key demographics of Boys 6-11 (6.4/27), Tweens 9-14 (4.5/22) and Male Tweens 9-14 (6.5/29). The network also led the broadcast competition in Kids 2-11 (3.3/14), Kids 6-11 (4.4/19), Boys 2-11 (4.6/19), Girls 2-11 (1.9/8), Girls 6-11 (2.3/11) and Female Tweens 9-14 (2.3/13). The network achieved year-to-year growth in the key demographics of Kids 6-11 (+5%/+6%), Girls 6-11 (+28%/+22%), Tweens 9-14 (+25%/+22%), Male Tweens 9-14 (+12%/+12%) and Female Tweens 9-14 (+64%/+63%). Among Kids 2-11, the network outranked ABC Kids (1.2/5), CBS (1.1/5), Fox Box (1.1/4) and NBC (0.7/3). Among Kids 6-11, Kids' WB! outperformed the combined performances of ABC Kids (1.3/6), Fox Box (1.2/5), CBS (0.7/3) and NBC (0.7/3).

For the morning, Pokémon: Advanced (10:00 a.m. ET) ranked as the #1 program among all competition in Boys 6-11 (7.6/28), tying with Yu-Gi-Oh!: Enter The Shadow Realm, #3 in Tweens 9-14 (5.0/20) and Male Tweens 9-14 (7.2/27), and ranked as the #3 broadcast program in Kids 2-11 (3.8/14), Kids 6-11 (5.2/19), Boys 2-11 (5.5/19) and Girls 6-11 (2.6/10).

In its new additional 11:30 a.m. ET time period, Pokémon: Advanced captured the #2 overall program spot among Tweens 9-14 (5.2/26), #4 in Male Tweens 9-14 (6.9/32) and #5 in Boys 6-11 (6.8/31). The series also ranked as the #1 broadcast series in Kids 2-11 (4.5/19), tying with Yu-Gi-Oh!: Enter The Shadow Realm (4.5/18), Girls 2-11 (3.4/15), Girls 6-11 (4.0/20), and Female Tweens 9-14 (3.5/18), and as the #2 broadcast program in Kids 6-11 (5.4/26). Pokémon: Advanced delivered time period season highs with strong week-to-week gains in Kids 2-11 (+50%/+46%), Kids 6-11 (+35%/+37%), Boys 2-11 (+37%/+28%), Boys 6-11 (+15%/+15%), Girls 2-11 (+89%/+88%), Girls 6-11 (+111%/+122%), Tweens 9-14 (+37%/+37%) and Female Tweens 9-14 (+75%/+100%).

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Enter The Shadow Realm (11:00 a.m. ET) topped all competition to take the #1 program spot for the morning in Boys 6-11 (7.6/32), tying with Pokémon: Advanced (7.6/28), Tweens 9-14 (5.4/24) and Male Tweens 9-14 (7.9/33), and took the #1 broadcast program spot in Kids 2-11 (4.5/18), tying with Pokémon: Advanced (4.5/19), Kids 6-11 (5.6/23) and Boys 2-11 (6.0/24), and the #2 broadcast program spot in Girls 2-11 (3.0/12) and Girls 6-11 (3.5/14). At 8:00 a.m. ET, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Enter The Shadow Realm beat all time period competition in Tweens 9-14 (2.3/19) and Male Tweens 9-14 (3.8/28), and among the time period broadcast competition in Kids 2-11 (1.4/10), Kids 6-11 (2.0/13), Boys 2-11 (2.2/15) and Boys 6-11 (3.2/20).

Additional Saturday morning highlights include:

¡Mucha Lucha! (10:30 a.m. ET) took the #3 broadcast and cable spot for the morning in Boys 6-11 (7.1/26), #5 spot in Male Tweens 9-14 (6.6/25) and ranked among the top 10 overall programs in Kids 6-11 (4.9/19), Boys 2-11 (5.0/18), Tweens 9-14 (4.7/19). The irreverent comedy ranked as the # 3 broadcast program in Girls 2-11 (2.1/8) and Girls 6-11 (2.7/10) and #4 in Kids 2-11 (3.6/13) and Female Tweens 9-14 (2.6/12).

For the morning, Jackie Chan Adventures (9:00 a.m. ET) ranked #2 overall in Male Tweens 9-14 (7.3/31), #4 in Boys 6-11 (6.9/27), #6 in Tweens 9-14 (4.7/23), tying with Nickelodeon's "Fairly Odd Parents" (4.7/20), and ranked among the top five broadcast spots in Kids 2-11 (3.0/13), Kids 6-11 (4.4/19) and Boys 2-11 (4.6/18).

At 9:30 a.m. ET, the action-comedy-adventure Xiaolin Showdown took the #4 overall spot in Tweens 9-14 (4.8/21), tying with Nickelodeon's "Fairly Odd Parents," the #5 spot in Male Tweens 9-14 (6.6/25), tying with ¡Mucha Lucha! (6.6/25), #7 in Boys 6-11 (6.5/23) and among the top six broadcast programs in Kids 2-11 (2.9/11), Kids 6-11 (4.2/16), Boys 2-11 (4.4/16) and Female Tweens 9-14 (2.9/15).

Animé-adventure Teen Titans (8:30 a.m. ET) ranked among the top 10 broadcast and cable programs in Tweens 9-14 (3.8/24) and Male Tweens 9-14 (5.9/32), and ranked among the top seven broadcast programs in Kids 2-11 (2.5/13), Kids 6-11 (3.4/18), Boys 2-11 (3.7/18) and Boys 6-11 (5.3/26).
