Cosplayer Nation Documentary on American Cosplay Announced

A Documentary on Cosplay across America

Cosplayer Nation is excited to announce their documentary COSPLAYER NATION: A Documentary on Cosplay across America which is set for its world premiere to be announced at a later date.

Started in late December 2010 by up and coming documentary film makers Joshua Adams and Uke Li, COSPLAYER NATION: A Documentary on Cosplayer across America is a movie about cosplay from the perspective of the cosplayers and was filmed at events in Boston and around America including: Animé Boston, Boston Comic Con, Pax East, Anime USA in Virginia as well as San Diego Comic Con and guests of honor at the SoDak Anime Convention in South Dakota.

Josh Adams and Uke Li look at this as a “culmination of their lifelong passion for Animé” and want to thank everyone who has helped with this project so far, including but not limited to Professor Susan Napier from Tufts University, Cosplay Psychologist Erik Limardo, as well as animé voice actors like Vic Mignogna, Christopher Smith, and Superhero Cosplayer Tanya Tate. What will be taking place next is we will begin integration of a social networking platform into and continuing to improve and build out the site to make it the ultimate resource for anyone looking to find out more information about cosplaying and what is happening in the world of cosplaying around the globe.

Be sure to check for updates as well as the Conventions we will be covering. Check out our facebook page (Cosplayer Nation) and YouTube channel ( and as always on our website - for more information and sneak previews and clips of our upcoming documentary.
