According to dokidokivisual.com, Houbunsha is planning a 3 volume release for Madoka Magika.
The first volume will be in stores this February titled, Mahou Shōjo Madoka Magica. Second volume will be serialized in Manga Time Kirara: Forward in March titled, Mahou Shoujo Kazumi Magica: The Innocent Malice. The third volume will be out after the anime has aired which will be around April of this year. Anyone else excited for these as much as I am? x3 |

Sadly I am not as excited because Madoka is an anime first sort of series and turning them into manga after the anime has already occurred is usually just disasterous. For example, just look at Princess Tutu, another magical girl anime first that was attempted to be shoved into a two volume manga. It made most of the fanbase weep.
So yeah, my rule is "never trust an anime to manga adaptation". |
