There is alot of Street Fighter anime out there.
About 3 - 4 years ago I had a tape of the anime. It had to do with Ken getting brainwashed into fighting Ryu, and in the beginning of the movie you see Sagat get his scar in a fight he had with Ryu. Can someone help me out and pinpoint what this movie was called. Thanks. |

Street Fighter: The Movie
Unbutchered with original music (but untranslated) version- http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SVWB-7041 The US version has the music replaced with crappy US acts and has a bunch of changes (the least of which being the traditional Vega/Bison Balrog/Vega Bison/Balrog switch) |

You can also find this movie on the new Street Fighter bundle (SF 3 3rd Strike, and SF 2 Hyper (yes . . .) Edition.) It's the PG verison. Sorry Chun-Li fans.

I thought the movie was good just because I was a SF fan. Many people disagree because they're either hardcore SF fan who wanted too much out of it, or a non fan at all.

Most Street Fighter fans told me it was awesome. Is the DVD dual langual because I didn't see language options on the back of the case

No
Sony Music US didn't want to pay the rights for the Japanese soundtrack, which is now unfortunately long out of print, a TON of great artists did songs on it |

I actually had it on VHS too, but got rid of it to get the DVD. The DVD said it was the "uncut" version and I thought it would have the Japanese version on it as well, but as Sword of Whedon already pointed out, it's non-existent. It's a pretty good action movie though, in my opinion. Oh, well...

Just remember guys, when you buy anime DVD's from CDJapan, they are R2 discs with just the original Japanese track and no subs.

If your a Gamer (like plenty of Anime fans.) you can purchase the stree fighter aniversary collection (for PS2) which comes with a bonus DVD of the Animated feature. (unfortunetly for some of you purists, it's dubbed with American metal BGM.

oops! while Multitasking @ work, i tend to view a select amount of posts at random. my bad. As for SFTV, The series aired on encore's action channel a few Months ago. decent series if you can overlook the dubbing. Last edited by the_soultaker on Fri Sep 17, 2004 10:52 am; edited 1 time in total |
