Fanfare/Ponent Mon has been putting out a small number of books of the years, and it looks like they picked up a new Jiro Taniguchi series. The plot description centering on a young cartoonist sounds interesting. |

I get all Fanfare's stuff on pre-order so this will be appearing on my bookshelves as soon as it's released.
You really can't go wrong with Taniguchi - though I guess Botchan is a bit dry for some tastes - and this looks to be an extension of his excellent short story Shokaro (which appeared in The Ice Wanderer, also from Fanfare) so I couldn't be happier about this release. Here's hoping it doesn't take them too long to get volume 3 of Taniguchi's The Summit Of The Gods out - that's a seriously good series. |

It's only one-volume -- it's a stand-alone story, and it's at least semi-autobiographical. KS |
