Links to anidb / animenfo pages

I wonder why in the "links" section of anime descriptions usually there are no links to the pages of the corresponding anime at anidb.net or animenfo.com? Is it forbidden to add such links, or just nobody ever tried to do it? I think that such links could be quite useful. Smile

Well I don't think it is forbidden because animenfo is a really good site. I think maybe it's generally known by all users so they never felt the need to enter it into the database. I also think that you are supposed to submit links for websites that specifically focus on the one series and not a general website. Hope that was helpful oh and welcome to the forums! Very Happy

Those sites don't pay for advertising on ANN, therefore ANN won't advertise for them.

As Osaka said, we'd rather have links for comprehensive series-specific sites. In the old days I always found it annoying to see review websites that submitted every single one of their reviews as different "websites" on anipike...

Also, anidb is a website that focuses on promoting piracy (or file sharing, whatever you want to call it). While it is a remarkable achievement from a technical standpoint, it is definitely against ANN's policy to link to such a site.

O.K. I see your point of view. Nevertheless, I want to mention that besides ed2k links there are plenty of information not presented on ANN. For example, information about the exact dates of airing of episodes on anidb is more complete than here.
