A few days ago the first episode came out on fansubbs.
Having read the manga in the past, and really enjoying it, I said 'what the hell' and checked out this new anime. And I will tell you one things, it is freaking hilarious
ES21 doesn`t stand out much from its manga counterpart. It follows the same jokes, scenes, even camera angles, but getting the chance to see those characters finally moving, with voices, and really GOOD music in the background, is the small advantage over the comic version.
This anime has tons of comedy, crazy characters, REALLY GOOD animation, cool actions scenes and in many ways is your typical Sport Anime. Plus it is a good way to promote Football in Japan, as I think it is not very popular on the islands.
So, did anyone else check it out?

I read the first part in Shounen Jump, but never read anymore. I really liked it though, because it seemed different from any other manga/anime i had ever read/watched.
