Spent a nice evening browsing in a Parisian manga shop, looking mainly at their anime section, at their in stock, in print releases of the Garden of Sinners movies, CCS, MI, Haibane Renmei, Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain, NieA_7, Touch, Slow Step (and heaps of other Adachi stuff), Future Boy Conan, G.T.O., Higurashi When They Cry, a very nice and affordable box set for R.O.D. TV... In fact most of these were in pretty nice box sets. I also saw copies of a DVD release of Grey, Digital Target in the remainder bin. And, somewhat strangely to my mind, there were fancy releases prominently displayed of Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade --- I mean, I enjoyed it, but...
All in all, I was (how you say?) jaloux. Jealous of the things in print, and of the number of specialty b&m stores that seem able to survive here. I bought a nice copy of Nobody's Boy Remi (dubbed/subbed in French). I would have picked up Cat's Eye too, but it was only dubbed. I'll try to find the one with subs before I leave.
