Looks nice, but From Software doesn't produce exactly newbie friendly games. I'm still stuck at Armored Core IV, which I'm trying to struggle through with fully customised controls. They really need to make it more accessible and revamp the controls.
I might get AC 5 if I manage to scale that learning curve one of these days, but until then it's just a pretty looking mecha game that I won't be playing.

i am very agree with you, from AC 4 upward, the controls is very,i mean VERY difficult to adapt, though the controls from AC games in PS2(AC Nexus and AC Last Raven for example) also pretty difficult,it took me some time to adapt, but AC 4 controls its just pretty much exhausting especially when we have to fight enemy AC with a deadly speed, compared to fight a Arms Fort which is not hard as fighting an AC.
i'm still remember when playing AC Project Phantasma and Master of Arena and im enjoying fighting enemy AC,but of course we can't compare AC PP with AC 5.
then again true the controls is very hard to adapt because japanese really know how to control a real mecha,,haha
but still i'm a Pilot i have to buy the game.

The controls are terrible namely because they have never been able to get the mecha head swivel correct, its always been jerky, which I guess is for realism, but the problem is the AI doesn't' have the same problem and can make swift fluid movement players could never dream of. It just makes AC on AC combat feel cheap, not to mention in 4 they really messed up with making overheating weapons way to powerful to the point of stupid.
