Don't you hate it when something happens to a certain character, and the fanbase exagerates it like as if it's their only character trait?
Orihime from Bleach- Everyone plays her up as if though she gets kidnapped more than Princess Peach. Most of the people that despise her are IchiRuki shippers anyway, but it doesn't help that Studio Pierrot (known for butt-[expletive] characters because they have biases against them) doubles her kidnapping. These people tend to forget that Rukia spent a good 40 or so episodes locked up in the Soul Society. The same thing goes for Kairi from Kingdom Hearts and Relena from Gundam Wing. Hinata from Naruto- If rabid NarSaku/Sasu shippers and the fillers are to be believed, you'd swear she had narcolepsy. She only fainted once in the manga, and neither let that go. They choose that as an excuse to hate her. Those people forget that Sakura fainted during the first bell test with Kakashi, but try telling them that. Another example of Flanderization from Studio Pierrot. I swear, they're like the M. Night Shamylan of animation studios. |

Yes. I absolutely hate that so many people dislike Orihime. She is an awesome character. I think that, and I'm an Ichiruki fan.

Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler - After getting kidnapped and saved by his butler few times, everyone thinks he's a damsel in distress. He's not hated, but many think he's wimpy and physically weak, even though he has shown he's able to hold his own in a fight in both the anime and the manga. In the manga he even manages to spoiler[hold off hordes of zombies who are killing just about everyone else].
