It's tricky to see, but the red "TV Anime" caption on the righthand side is pointing towards Detective Conan.

But the blue one points at Magi.

Took long enough for the official announcement, they've been hinting at it for months and even had two pre-announcements about it before this announcement... Shocked

Sundays at 5 pm on TBS ? That's a pretty good timeslot. Hopefully it does well in terms of ratings.

That means it'll be a long runner, right? Good to hear.

Studio will also be A-1 pictures with the staff and cast to be announced in later issues a promo will also supposedly run this sunday. With it being an aniplex title,a nichigo show and apparently being shokakugans 90th annivarsary show chances are it will run for four cours.
@kutsu yep it was also FMA's old timeslot.
Here is a promo picture that was in the mag

A-1, doing a long running show? That worries me... they're currently doing Fairy Tail. Maybe they're ending it... I'd much rather have Fairy Tail than Magi.

With the anime catching up to the manga i say chances are it'll go on haitus and return a year later when theres enough manga material. My main concern is if aniplex (the production company) will give magi a good enough budget with them working on like 5 other shows when magi starts.

Ao no Exorcist was an aniplex show in that time slot and it was only 26 episodes so it might not be so long running after all.

Ao No Exorcist also had the problem of not having a lot of source material to work with. Mind you 52 episodes might have helped make a better anime original ending, but with so little manga to work with it was easier to have a standard episode count then have the majority of it be anime original.

Magi on the other hand has plenty of source material to work with so it;s more likely to have a longer episode count.

Site and commercial are up http://www.project-magi.com/ . Amazing. Looks beautifully animated which is a real surprise given how rare those are in shonen animes.
