Thanks for this, WTK. Don't worry, we know this is pretty speculative stuff, but I appreciate the attempt to make some educated guesses. I'll be very interested to see what truly does come out.

I am excited about Hellsing Ultimate finally coming out. Wonder if its just one episode or a bundle of eps. I imagine it would be a few episodes considering the retail price (no way would anyone pay that much for a single episode, and yes I know the episodes are 50 minutes long but that would still be pretty pricey).

Thanks for the list. I almost hope they don't release all that, for budgeting reasons.

DVD for Index. Yeah, I've waited this long I'm not rushing to go DVD only for this series if this listing holds up. I can wait to see if FUNi goes BD and if not, hey I'll save money on a cheaper set.

Not surprising, FUNi did say when they signed it that they weren't looking at BD rights for it because their Ouran BD release didn't sell what they wanted. Because Ouran and Index are so similar after all.

That DVD-only Index really surprises me. Isn't that an action show? I mean, if B Gata H Kei - a standard comedy with no flash whatsoever, can get a blu-ray - why not really popular franchise like Index? I doubt it's liscensing restrictions since Shana is getting the BD treatment.

*checks Index's encyclopedia entry*

Wait, wait; I see a Kadokawa in Index's production committee. God dammit, Kadokawa.

I'm also still confused as to why Aria is only $65 even though it claims to be an LE combo pack. One of those is wrong, and I'm sure everyone is hoping it's the price.

TENCHI!!! Finally, I've been waiting for my Tenchi fix for a LOOONG time.

Universe is probably my favorite Tenchi series. Definite buy.

Tenchi Universe, I do have fond memories of seeing it on Toonami, but they're not clear enough for me to know if it's nostalgia or actually good. I'm not big on harem or reverse harem either.

I recently re-watched Tenchi Universe and found it to be seriously lacking. For me, all the nostalgia in the world couldn't save it. I've re-watched the OVA series a number of times, and that holds up very well.

I highly doubt Kadokawa had anything to do with no BD for Index since it was licensed from Geneon. Also, Kadokawa is/would be/could be on the production committee because the novels are published by Dengeki which is an imprint of ASCII Mediaworks who is owned by Kadokawa (who is not listed on the production committee for Index II and Railgun, though accoding to the encyclopedia entries).

What Betenoire posted is probably more the likely reason.
