I was curious about something in Naruto. With the new GNT game out and the 3rd NH one coming out very soon, I've noticed that both fans and the game spoiler[refer to Naruto's transformed state (the form based on when he fought Sasuke) as "One Tail Kyuubi" or some other variation. This struck me as odd because the title points out the fact that there is only one tail. So I was wondering, is there a specific reason for that? Does Naruto transform again in the manga revealing more tails? Does it work in a similar fashion as Rock Lee unlocking his gates?] I just think the title for that form is unusually specific.

Yeah. "Fox spirits" traditionally start with one tail. As they grow in power and experience they grow more tails. Naruto, spoiler[it would seem, can only currently tap into a small portion of Kyubi's power.]

how bout removing spoiler from the [expletive deleted] title of thread..
nothing about a 9 tailed gate has been mentioned at all in the Naruto anime yet, so why is this posted in the anime forum?

Sorry, I didn't think it would be considered a spoiler since Naruto has been called the 9 Tailed Fox since the first episode.

your saying the thread title was not a manga reference? of course 9 tailed fox was mentioned from episode 1, but the reference to gate leads me to believe other things that have not happened in the anime |

I made up the term 9 Tailed Gates. When I was thinking about it I made a connection to Rock Lee, hence "9 Tailed Gates." Naruto has spoiler[already used his one-tailed kyuubi form against Sasuke in the anime and Rock Lee unlocked his gates once against Gaara.] So I speculated that spoiler[he reveals more tails later in the manga. I don't know for sure or not.] Basically all I did was combine a move from Naruto with one from Rock Lee because I noticed a similarity. |

fine, good to know it is you speculation, but please, next time put "possible spoiler" in the thread title, instead of revealing the spoiler in the thread title. if someone has a manga related spoiler/speculation would be even nicer if it was put in the manga forum. i feel that is one of the biggest weakness here, mods dont enforce the manga related dicussion/spoilers in the manga section.

There weren't any spoilers in the thread. Putting a spoiler warning in the title would be redundant.

To be honest, I don't know whether it is a spoiler or not since I've no interest in Naruto and would not have blundered in if the title had given any clue as the to series being discussed, which it doesn't.
