It's official, the Last Unicorn is finally on it's way to live action. How I have waited for this for years! Thank God they waited on this till the CGI technology was perfected, I think this will be a kick ass fantasy.

That page doesn't look like it's been updated since 2002 though....

It says 2004, not 2003. It hasn't even started filming yet.

And looking at the ages of some of their cast members...it'll be a wonder if they make it through filming Wink

well I know I will be looking forward to it in 2004. I'm so excited for this. I get to revisit my childhood (not like I don't do that everyday anyway) but the last time I watch the Last Unicorn was when I was like 10...I really need to get a copy of it...

given the appeared ages of the cartoon characters, these seem accurate enough.

I've been waiting for this to finally be made for a while now. Mostly since it means they will probably also release the original cartoon version on DVD.

Wow... this takes me way back... I watched the movie again a few years ago. I'm very pleased by the fact that Christopher Lee and Angela Lansbury will be reprising their roles

Last Unicorn was like one of my first animes to watch along with Unico. I don't think I've seen Last Unicorn since I was 8 years old. But it was my favorite. I really hope they do release this movie, it looks like it'd be really good. And maybe they'll re-release the animated version ^^

And of course (in case you're interested) the studio that produced the animated 'the Last Unicorn' hooked up with Hayao Miyazaki and did 'Nausicaa'.
