Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Lupin the 3rd: The Treasure of the Sorcerer King for the PS2 developed by Banpresto? That would make these the second and third games.

You're right. Lupin the 3rd: Treasure of the Sorcerer King was developed by Banpresto and released in the US by Bandai. The PS2 Cowboy Bebop game was also developed by Banpresto, but I guess that was cancelled. |

I was about to say that this was nothing short of a miracle, but then I check GameFAQs and realized that all the mechs in Original Generation are, oddly enough, originals. It's a slight downer, but still great news.

There was also that one DragonBall Z fighter that they made for GBA, I think it was called Taiketsu or something. It has a HUGE Banpresto logo on the back.
and I'm pretty sure that there was a sailor moon arcade machine released in europe somewhere as well, so that would make more. |

Acually you can go back as far as the mid to late 90s as one of the Power Rangers games for Genesis was developed by them (I think it was the movie version.) |

Sorry kids, but this is NOT a sign that the licensing nightmare versions of Robot Wars could be coming to the US. Even if this sold 30 million copies this is the only version of RW we'll ever see in the US. Just wanted to get that out of the way before someone says it, save us all the trouble later...

Nope, it was the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers game. Funny enough, I played it just this weekend. |

I'm very excited about these releases. I love the SRW games but unfortunatley (albiet not too difficult to follow) since they are Japanese it is very difficult to enjoy the stories. With the OG games, there's already attachment to the characters since they come from the other SRWs but now those of us in the US who are not fluent in Japanese can finally enjoy the story aspect.
Also Emerje is right. This is great news but OG doesn't have the license hell that the other games would have. Every company would want a slice seeing as how their properties would be a selling point (think about Eva alone), and given that it's a niche game and mecha shows aren't very big in the US there's not much, if any, profit to be made unfortunatley. I never thought OG would be coming stateside. Always thought it was possible but never probable. So this is definitley some very good news. |

Actually Magna Carta (cosole version) Also came out in the states, They published the game in Japan, in which Atlus localized in the states.

So they do intend to make the necessary correction to the article, right? And personally I'm disappointed. Wish the Japanese would subtitle the series in english over thereM. God damn it, just make some extra pocket money with imports. A bit unrealistic of course.

Your thinking of DragonBall Z Bukuu Tougeki/Super Sonic Warriors, but it was actually developed by Arc System Works. Banpresto/Bandai published it (In Japan). |

The GBA version of Ultimate Muscle is a Banpresto title as well.
