Hello everyone. I too am new to these boards. Well, I've had an account for a pretty long while and I've been doing some lurking, but I don't think I've posted before.
I'm a 23 year old male living in Sweden, the land of igloos and polar bears. I've watched anime pretty much as long as I can remember. It all started with Robotech, Silver Fang and Spaceketeers/Starzinger back in the late 80s. Of course, at that time I didn't know what anime was, only that these shows were awesomely cool. Fast forward six years or so, and I came into contact with a guy who was into anime. As I had recently found out that those shows I used to watch in my childhood were anime, I was curious to find out more. So I asked him if he would copy a few anime tapes for me - yup, back in those days anime was so rare here in Sweden that the main form of distribution amongst fans was to copy VHS tapes and send to each other - which he kindly did. So a few days later I recieve a bunch of tapes, with a couple of episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, all of El Hazard: The Magnificent World and Nausicä of the Valley of Wind. I've been hooked on anime ever since. I'm also one of the founding staff of Animanga.nu, which today is Sweden's largest community for anime and manga fans. It's been a long time since I actively contributed to the site, but I'm quite proud of having been part of it. Anyhow, I think that's enough about me. I hope that I will be able to contribute to some of the discussions around here! |

Hi everyone. New here, and so introducing myself!
I am 23 years old, a college senior (Geology major), and anime fan. I have only been seriously into Anime for a little more than a year, but I have been watching it casually since I was little. I've seen a lot of series in the past year, and so I hope I have lots to contribute! |

yea, New here...
I've been a fan since my brother showed me Guyver in kindergarden, but haven't seriously been borderline obssessive until last month, seems now that anime is my favorite hobby,and I hope to contribute in some way, shape , or form; although I should warn you, I don't really know much... |

Hello,
I've been looking at this site for about 4-5 years now and felt it was finally time to join up. I'm not going to say anymore than that I've been sort of a closet anime fan for about the last ten years (I'm 20), yet I've seen enough to know my stuff. Anyways I hope to be contributing more to these threads rather just looking around

well i only got into anime about 5 months ago also because of my brother but i've only seen Bleach, Naruto, Wolfs Rain and Ghost in the shell so i'm one of the people you all need to educate. My name is Adam and I'm brand new to the forums. I've always used Anime News Network as a resource for other chatrooms I'm in so I just figured I might as well use the forums here. You guys can just call me Toucan. That's fine. My favorite animes are GITS: SAC, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Gundam SEED and Destiny, Cowboy Bebop, Eureka Seven, Samurai Champloo, Rorouni Kenshin, etc., etc. Let's just say I have a million favorite animes. My list is always changing. Recently, I've been watching a lot of Bleach, Eureka Seven, and Fruits Basket. |

Hi!
Like a lot of you it seems I’ve been using this site as a source of info and I finally decided to register. I haven’t been reading manga that long. It was my younger brother, a “serious” manga fan who got me into it. At the moment I’m reading Fushigi Yugi, Saiyuki Reload, Rurouni Kenshin, Remote, Arm of Kannon and RG Veda. Well… Erm… Bye!!! |

So....um....yeah...
New guy here. I've been lurking for a few months now, thought it was time to actually sign up. I'm not exactly an anime newbie. I've seen quite a few series considering I've only really started seeing stuff not on TV in the past 1.5-2 years. Right... so now that that's taken care of....er... I don't know how to end this quite right.... maybe I need a catch phrase or something? |

Howdy.
Long time listener, first-time caller. ANN has been a bookmark for ages, just never got around to doing the forum thing here. impress me
background. Started with Akira in the early 90's with the occasional series shown to me by more invested fans. Interest was accelerated years later with Tenchi on Cartoon Network (and to a certain extent DBZ, but I always watched that as kitsch). These past couple years with my digital cable and access to Adult Swim, G4TT, Encore's Animidnight, Anime Network On Demand etc. have had me watching everything I could catch. I'm mostly into the more humorus stuff but will watch most anything... I put my list up in the 10/5 best-worst thread as well. |

OY!
I've been lurking the network for about year and decided to join last night. I enjoy reading all the comprehensive information posted, and all the release dates are alwats accurate! I can't wait to read more and keep up to date on all the goings on in the world of Anime. i got into Anime when i was like 7 and watched Transformers, then Tranzor Z then robotech and almost anything that came soon after. I live in the windy place. There are alot of anime addicts here believe it or not! I'm a girl (taken) and play Halo lots...

Hi,
like everyone else posting here... i'm new. I'm pretty familliar with the site, but just recently signed up. I came into the whole anime thing not so long ago and my first introduction was Full Metal Panic (Fumoffu actually) which is still one of my favorites yet. Though i watched a lot of pokemon (Dutch dubbed) i didn't really consider it anime but more like just another cartoon. Anyways I think I'll have a good time reading this forum, so... until next time. ^^ |
