On a Bobobo fansite I read that Bobobo got cancelled in Japan due to being "too violent". The site also said that it got replaced with an even more violent anime! Is this true? If so, how does it end? Does it just stop? I hope it continues so they will dub more episodes! BOBOBO IS THE WACKIEST AND FUNNIEST ANIME EVER!!

I don't see why they would cancel a wacky kids' show such as Bobobo while claiming it's somehow violent, and then go and premiere some series that probably has blood and gore in it. That's just stupid.
And seeings as how you read it on a fansite (which you have yet to link to), it's no doubt false. The show probably moved to another timeslot and the webmaster doesn't know that so he assumes it's cancelled for some reason.

I also have a hard time buying that report that you said, you read. The show was violent , heh I must have missed all that, I sure did not see any one die or get cut to pieces... Maybe it was canncelled because it was not funny or even interesting imo. The main reason things get canncelled is lack of revenue/rating's. In other words it was not making money. Money is the bottom line in entertainment with some exceptions for shows that are sponsored by private parties that have an interest in spreading there message/propaganda.
I noticed it was taken off Adult Swim as well. Maybe because no one was watching?

To tell you the truth I only pray that they did cancel the show. I always felt that Toonami should be reserved for the more serious animation story's than the comedic ones. Perhaps if they simply moved the show to the Miguzi slot rather than cancel it altogether, which despite my own preferneces would be a loss for the network, it would better accomodate the network.

The show is cancelled- IN JAPAN, which is the topic of this thread. It's still running every Saturday night at 10 PM, because Sean and Jason (Toonami's producers) love it. |

I'm so with you, Anime Lord. I love Bobobo so much! It's the first anime I really got hooked on. I've made several people watch it, and they were disturbed for life! Har har. No, I love things that make no sense and that are completely random. May the Bobobo cooliosity never die!

Please give us the link of the fansite you read saying it was cancelled. But how can the show be violent? I didn't see any blood and guts. I only saw black stuff coming out of hair-hunt baddies when Bobobo hits them with his nose-hair. Where is the URL to that fansite anyways? As for mugen1style, This show is a bit too kiddy for [adult swim]. Mabey you should stop drinking sake. It's bad for you.
