Has anyone seen Mezzo? I was thinkin about checkin it out. If you got any feedback let me know...... Also I strongly suggest Angel Sanctuary its a very good read.

I bought the thin pack set of DVDs, and I really like the show!
It has a lot of fast paced action,some fan service, and some funny story lines to round out the series. This is one series that deserves a second season. |

I was very disappointed in the series. I thought the cut version (CUT VERSION!) of the OAV was very good, but I thought that the series was sub-par in animation, plot, characters... what was that annoying little girl doing in there, anyway? Did we really need the vengeful lesbian lover, or was that just there for (or because of) the doujinshi writers? And why are Mikura's eyes so freakin' big? I mean, it's anime and all, but half the time she looked like one of the aliens from South Park. Freaky. I mean, the three DSA guys are pretty consistent from the OAV to the show, which is good, but the add ins... bleah.
The dub was pretty solid, for what they had to work with. I think that was one of the highlights of the series, which would probably say more if I had any kind of established opinion on here as to whether I like the dubs in general or not. I liked the dub cast from the OAV better, though. Melissa Fahn rules. I just couldn't get into it. It's got lots of action, but for me, the animation wasn't good enough to sell the action portions, and the plots weren't compelling enough for me to sit around and wait. There's got to be some appeal to this somewhere- I know a lot of people that disagree with me on this one. If you like the girls with guns kinds of shows, maybe you'll like this one. It's got the action and the violence and a bit of naughty (but just a bit...) but it didn't do it for me. |
