Some animes I have watch can really bring tears to my eyes. I was just wondering what other animes that have gives the feeling of sadness? This feeling could occur while watching or after watching the show.

I cried at the end of Gunslinger Girl.
I tend to have opposite moments, though, where I know I should feel sad but I end up laughing. |

The animes that bring tears to my eyes are
Samurai X: Reflection (OAV) and Ayashi No Ceres spoiler[Somehow in Samurai X: Reflection (OAV) , I feel sad at the same time a little dissapointed that Kaoru willingly contract the disease from Kenshin and eventually suffers the consequences. But the sadness overcome all when Kenshin was on the journey back home after seeking help from his old time friend Sanosuke. That is where make me feel sad the most.] |

I'd definately say Gunslinger Girl as well, though I didn't cry I got a little teary eyed lol. I think it was mainly that all the amazing action sequences aside and heart warming moments between the girls and handlers, its still really sad in the sense that these young girls are forced into the violent lives after coming from such a saddening past. You cant help but ffeel really abd for them. |

Mahoromatic had one hell of a sad ending I thought. I mean spoiler[Mahoro promises Suguru that she'll meet with him in the city, the whole time knowing she's about to blow herself up to take out the last threat to them.] I was so pissed by that, I just turned it off and went to bed after that.
Chrno Crusade was really sad at the ending, as were a couple episodes of RahXephon. Those are probably the saddest ones I've seen though it's, unfortunately, not hard to get me to cry at show/movie/anime. |

Some parts of FMA including the last 2 episodes. The end of Elfen Lied. Some parts of Mobile Suit Gundam. The end of Cowboy Bebop of course. Probably the most depressing and saddening moment I have ever seen out of all animes I have ever seen would be the last 2 episodes of Zeta Gundam. That was just like... WOW.

While overall I didn't really like the show all that much, Wolf's Rain had a part that makes me weep like a baby.
spoiler[When Toboe dies and Tsume stays behind to have a few words with him as the others go ahead. It's a cliched moment, but it always made me feel bad.] |

Wolf's Rain spoiler[ Toboe and the hunter's death was the saddest part of this show, imo]
Elfen Lied spoiler[depressing atmosphere on the whole, many would agree here, but the ending w/ realizing she's the one who killed his family is very sad] Rah-Xephon spoiler[Asahina's death for sure; other than that it wasnt' really a "sad" show] When the Locusts Cry (Higuarshi -something something, can never spell it) anyone who has seen this, doesnt' need an explanation. Welcome to the NHK is also pretty depressing at points when we see Satou going through his stages where he knows there's soemthing wrong with him but he can't figure out how to deal with it. I can't really think of anything else that was depressing. |

...and so, you missed the way it actually ended, because you didn't want to watch the way you thought it ended, through to the finish. Way to go. - abunai |

"Grave of the Fireflies" had my eye's nearly bleeding from tears, especially when I knew it was based on a true story.
