Just wondering. I know there's been alot going on this year, like Ghost in the Shell tv series and even the Gits 2 releases by darkhorse. I've become a real admirer of his work. His CG work on man machine interface is awesome as hell. It can be argued that shirow does borderline porn.
His poster booklets in young uppers magazine have been highly sought after. Don't believe me? check out some of the ebay auctions. The poster booklets are being printed as collections now so I'm happy about that. Galhound and Arms are my favorite. My room is decorated with shirow everywhere, I think I'm being obsessive. Anybody else like em, or am I just weird

I certainly like his style, though GiTS doesn't seem to get up here in the Ohioan region (are we in a Dark Horse blind spot or something? Trying to find a Dark Horse manga up around here is like trying to find cylinder sleeves for a Pegaso). Dominion Tank Police was the second anime I ever saw, and GiTS (the movie) was one of the films that drove me to become as involved with anime as I am today.

Dark Horse manga is more likely to be in comic and specialty stores. Although you have to back-order some of their older stuff. Anyway, I would like Shirow more if he didn't keep distracting me with his T&A while he's inserting his gratuitous technobabble which he only understands into the word bubbles of his characters.

I actually enjoy reading and deciphering his mess. Its easy to understand for me. Its part philosophy with two parts technology. But yea his T&A is distracting, but you can't complain can you?
Did you read the article about the guy who translates shirows work? At one point he spent days trying to look up the meaning of a scientific word, talking to scientists etc., only to find out shirow made it up.

Hate to be him. If I were to translate all that techno-babble I woud expect a nice paycheck or a drink of cyanide.

I'm an unabashed Shirow fan. One of these days I'll actually pick some of his manga. So far all I've got is anime based on his work.
