There are very strict rules for the Encyclopedia section and I don't want to get in trouble.
There seems to be an anime based on a Sega Card Game called Dinosaur King (Kodai Ōja Kyōryū King: DKidz Adventure). I searched it and couldn't find anything. Unfortunately the only source I have is a Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur_King) article. The show appears to be licensed by 4Kids Entertainment or at least will be aired on 4Kids TV this fall. I hope I didn't break any rules and I hope this helps with something. |

It's in the Encyclopedia. Just typing in "Kyoryu King" in the search box brings it right up in the results.
Absolutely horrible show, I might add. The paleontologist in me can't help but cringe at the idea of kids using trading cards to summon hot pink Allosaurs that fly through the air like DBZ characters and shoot lightning out of their eyes. What, exactly, was wrong with the whole Pokemon/Digimon thing of using made-up animals to do made-up things? |

While Nagisa has already told you it's in the Encyclopedia, please tell us how you performed your search, so we can learn how those "failed search attempts" happened and improve the interface if necessary.

A direct link to Cynthia Turner's Cynopsis would be much more useful. To be honest, that website looks quite messy -- I'll wait until 4Kids makes an formal announcement. |

I searched Dinosaur King, Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King, and Kodai Ōja Kyōryū King: DKidz Adventure. I searched it just by hitting enter and by telling it to search the Encyclopedia. |

I just tried the Kodai Ōja Kyōryū King D-Kids Adventure one again and it does work but Dinosaur King and Ancient Ruler Dinosaur King does not work.

The reason you can't find it is because Dinosaur king is not an alternative title (yet) for Kyōryū King.
You can always add an alternative name yourself, but I propose to wait until the official announcement to prevent a wrong title being entered as alternative english title. |

added "Dinosaur King" to the encyclopedia. I'm not 100% sure if we should be adding the literal translation.

Tip: while searching, removing punctuations (a colon in this case) can make big differences. This tip is not restricted to ANN's search engine.
Personally I'm not too fond of it. This would encourage users to 1) use translation engines 2) add non-English alternative titles that we might not be able to verify. There are already many error reports saying "the alt. title should be [some Arabic] instead of [some slightly different Arabic]" without providing a source of something. 3) initiate "who's translation is the best" style disputes, especially if ANN's alt. title is different from other websites (other databases e.g. Animenfo, encyc sites e.g. Wikipedia, and fansub groups/hubs). |
