Well a majority of Pokemon from Unova are plenty Murican. Of those given, I would probably say Bidoof is the most Canadian, though I wouldn't know specifically because it's impossible (for me) to remember all 700+ Pokemon, let alone catch them - and I'm not Canadian.

Ahh, America.

The land of the Braviary and the home of the Butterfree.

Well... Most Pokémon from the Unova region are American-influenced, but if I had to choose, Rufflet and Braviary would take the cake; if anything, they are as American as apple pie, as their designs are influenced by the American Flag and their head feathers are inspired by Native American culture.

People laugh about Bidoof but that beaver is a far more useful Pokémon than people give it credit for. It can learn all of the Hidden Moves, save for Fly, and has some decent defensive stats. A useful demeanor and general resilience? That sounds plenty Canadian.

If you meant to say "Murcian", that's Spanish. We're talking about Canada here.

If it wasn't for the good pick of Sawsbuck, I would've picked Psyduck, and I'm not sure why. Confused

(His trailing along behind the others? His don't-get-no-respect demeanor? Misty's utter unexplained detestation of him?)

I'm going to go with Keldeo for the most AMERICAN looking Pokémon. Cool

I was getting off track and making fun of how Unova is mainly based off the USA, so I said that most Pokemon there were Murican, which - welcome to the Internet - is the redneck way of saying "American". I don't necessarily have to get in touch with Eric Vale to make funny American OR Canadian jokes - although if talking about Kalos, I wouldn't mind talking to J. Michael Tatum for some France jokes...

As far as Canadian stereotype Pokémon go, there's Glalie, who resembles a hockey goalie's mask and is Ice-type. There's also Cubchoo and Beartic, as the polar bear is the unofficial representative animal of the Northwest Territories and Nuvanut. Also Basculin, representing the thriving fishing on the eastern parts that's famous around the world.

Maybe the Axew line too, as they can probably make for good lumberjacks. No Pokémon themed on the Labrador Retriever yet though--there must be more of thise dogs than there are people in Labrador.

(Say, isn't there a huge fire in Alberta they should be talking about?)

Not to mention Smogon bans half of all Bibarel because they consider one of its Abilities overpowered.

Sinnoh always felt like the Canadian region to me. It is the Northern region and even the landscape is reminiscent of Canada. Even it's shape, to an extent, reminds me of Canada (even though it's based on Japan).

There were a few Pokemon in 4th gen that could fit this description, but I think any deer/moose/rodent/wolf Pokemon would fit.

Perhaps Stantler would make a good Pokémon candidate for Canada? Smile
