Does anyone even like MAO? Her voice is the definition of "generic squeaky anime girl." I've never been impressed by any of her performances, yet she still gets dozens of roles every year.

She's hardly my favorite female seiyuu, but I think she is doing a fine job as Papika in Flip Flappers. I also enjoyed her performance as one of the "Flamenco Girls" in Samurai Flamenco, and her work as Sayaka in Keijo!!!!!!!! shows she has more range than your characterization suggests. Speaking of range, we have this billboard from episode seven of Flip Flappers:
Those characters include both males and females and all have different voicings.
