Looks interesting and character cast has potential. This could be a dark horse of Spring.

I'm definitely interested in this based on the premise and the people working on it, but damn are those character designs painfully generic 2010s designs. Also, David Productions is definitely pouring more of their resources into Monster Hunter and JoJo part 5 than this.

A completed Light Novel series is getting an anime? One completed five years ago? From setting to how components fit together to form an initial plot that really could easily snowball into an existential fight of saving the past or present... It all sounds very good to me.
I'm just not sure about the "50% have powers" notion; What, is it a town of Light Novel protagonists?

It sounds like a Diamond is not Crash copy but with bad LN characters instead.

It looks quite fine, I might check it out even if I don't like these type of dramas that much.
Also, I'd take this very normal and realistic (for modern anime standards, that is) character designs over the endless trash that's being provided by a lot of current series that try to appeal to a very specific japanese buyer in which you can instantly tell that animating their cuteness comes first and telling a good story comes....well, it never is a priority to begin with.

^^^Amen to that, bro. So sick and tired of all the moe-waifu crap.
Anyway, color me VERY surprised by this PV. This actually looks pretty damn tasteful (kinda reminds me of Erased or Makoto Shinkai) and I think David Production did the best light novel adaptation of this decade (Bantorra). Also, I'm already in love with the soundtrack... let's keep our fingers crossed.
