Maybe its just me but I thought Naofumi seemed a lot more on edge or cynical to his surroundings when raphtalia was gone (I do agree about everything that was said about his growth), just pointing out how much of a calming effect her presence has on him.
And their reunion was hilarious to me. Never thought he'd fall that hard. Good for both of them.

I really loved this one.... until it went full harem route.
Sigh, my fault I suppose, I don't know why I was expecting something different from the genera.

Could you clarify this for me? I don't recall any harem element at all here; at the end of the volume, the Hunting Hero is a friendly acquaintance at best, and Naofumi certainly doesn't have romantic feelings towards Glass or Therese.
I enjoyed this volume a lot, even if a few poor writing habits returned (excessive redundancy in writing, etc.). That big event kept vague by the reviewer was indeed a big one, and i'm curious to see how it will affect things going forward (and it was pretty sweet to notice how anxious Naofumi was to find Raphtalia; if i can survive Spice and Wolf's slow burn i can wait out this one  )
