Yes I've waited so long to finally get some kind of new animation for the Prisma Illya anime series! Considering the fact the manga is still in the middle of the next story arc in 3rei with no end in sight it might be awhile before we get the next anime season since they're probably waiting for the arc to end (though they did confirm they were working on a sequel anime project so who knows). This OVA will definitely be a good thing to hold me over until then.

Still waiting for Sentai to release the 4th season thou that NEVER going to happen now that Funimation and Amazon has it, and knowing Amazon it just going to be treated horribly. Thou Funimation gives me some kind of hope.

It’s a Crunchyroll license. It was released during the brief period where Crunchy had an exclusivity agreement with Kadokowa. Funimation was just distributing it digitally on Amazon. They did this for one or two other CR shows as well. Now that they’ve ended their partnership with Funimation, they should be free to release it themselves or even work with Sentai on it.
