I hope this isn't going to be a Netflix show so we won't have to wait till later to see it.

It probably will be unfortunately. But I'm only guessing based on Sirius The Jaeger.

Also it's at this point where I watch fan translations unfortunately, I'm all about supporting the official release normally but Netflix's schedule is frustrating. However when I go out on weekends to do a few hours of errands, I just load up anime on Netflix I've watched else where previously, full screen them and hit play. When I get home the series has either fully played through all episodes or is at the end. So at least I'm trying give various series some support by "watching" the official release.

Not sure how much that helps, but maybe it's something?

All that's left is to wait, no streaming has been announced yet.

One plus point is that Toho is the producer of this anime, and Toho is known for working more often with crunchyroll and funimation than Netflix.

I thought about that too, but I'd rather compare it to TV anime specifically. At least I do not remember some TV anime produced by Toho that netflix has licensed. Well, I may be wrong since I currently do not watch many anime.
