I'm not a fan of Golden Time, but I'm surprised it wasn't dubbed sooner. Congrats to Sentai.

I liked Golden Time, but I don't think an English voice of Koko could even top Yui Horie

Man I wish golden time was more popular, so that spoiler["Ghost Banri" could have become the anime equivalent of "jump the shark"].

[Edit]: added spoiler tags. Errinundra.

Well,it looks like lately,Sentai Filmworks' been doing some dubs on a number of it's anime. That's a good thing,in my opinion. As I've previously said,no matter who old a good anime is,it's never too late to give it a dub. Although I've never seen "Yamishibai:Ghost Stories" or "Golden Time,"I might be interested in seeing them someday soon. And,this news makes that day come sooner.

I think the same, but I hope the English VA does a good job.

Yeah, it'll be hard to top Hocchan as Kouko but I'm eager to see who they cast.

Happy to see this getting dubbed as it's one of my favorite series.

Maybe, maybe not. Though I have no idea who it would be; I can only think of Luci Christian (inevitably) playing Linda.

Personally I wish Hidive would stop getting shows, mainly due to the fact that they refuse to make a standalone Roku app. It's been so long that I can't see any other reason for it other than a deliberate choice anymore.(was that part of the deal they used to have with Amazon or something?) And no, I don't want to pay extra for VRV when I only want one thing from it.

Did Sentai elaborate what part of Yamishibai it will be dubbing? Will it be the same two seasons they did before, or did they acquire further seasons? I bought the original subbed release, but would absolutely double dip to own more of the series.

I recently finished Golden Time and it was so disappointing I thought this would've hit the forgotten bin. Yamishibai is great though, at least a few seasons. The dubbing would work quite well because of the way it's animated too.

Subscribe to VRV. You get Crunchyroll and Hidive for less than the cost of both separately, and then Boomerang and Shudder on top of that.

Given the recent trend of Sentai that is dubbing or will be dubbing some of their older shows, I wonder what prompted this other than perhaps getting the license to do so, the urging by fans, and finally having the money to do so.

The issue there is Crunchyroll has a free version, and I'm not likely to ever tune into the other 2 stations.

Surprise they are taking the time to go back and dub Golden Time. The ending pretty much ruined the whole show for me.
