GANTZ: Admit it: you loved this during your edgelord phase.
InuYasha: Come of the action, drop it for the filler and romcom bullcrap.
Fairy Gone: We couldn't get the rights to Shin Megami Tensei.
Persona 4: The Animation: The game had so little story progression that we were able to make a serviceable 25 episode anime out of it.
Evangelion: What if Gundam was super dark?
Madoka Magica: What if Sailor Moon was super dark?
Narutaru: What if Pokemon was super dark?
Your Lie in April: There are no likable characters, there's contrived drama at every turn, and the best way to overcome the trauma of abuse is with bullying and abuse. It's also got pretty animation and music, so all the critics loved it and it won a shitload of awards.
A Silent Voice: It's like Your Lie in April, but it actually treats bullying and abuse like they're bad things and the audience didn't want to punch the lead love interest in the face.
Haruhi Suzumiya: You people ate up the confusingly pretentious episode broadcast order, so you have nobody but yourselves to blame for Endless Eight.
